About the event

Documentary film screening of No One Told Me, an observational documentary about the postpartum experience. The screening will be followed by a panel conversation about postpartum care. Panel members are:

Lisa Malcolm, LICSW, PMH-C, specializing in mental health along the Reproductive Health Continuum, and facilitator of the postpartum support group, The Healing Group.

Nancy Drazin, LM, CPM, with nearly 30 years of midwifery experience on the Palouse.

Jessica Smith, LPN, IBCLC, and Birth & Postpartum Doula at Blomma Momma Lactation.

ViviAnne Fischer, LM, CPM, and co-owner of The Nest Birth and Wellness in Pullman, WA.

The panel will be moderated by Brittany Johnston, Postpartum Doula at Mother Nourish Postpartum.

Support for the event is provided by The Palouse Doula Collective.

Doors open at 12:30PM - screening starts at 1PM. Event ends at 3PM. Ticket price is $15. 


NO ONE TOLD ME provides a raw and honest look at the postpartum period, a unique time in a woman's life that is rarely captured in documentary film. The purely observational footage of incredibly intimate moments shows the highs and lows encountered by parents Elise and Marc as they adapt to life with a baby. Focusing on the new mother, the film shares the physical, hormonal and psychological changes she faces during the first 10 weeks of motherhood.
